About this poster

The Circuit de Monaco drawn in cream on red, with Sainte-Dévote, Casino, Tunnel, Piscine and Rascasse named, plus the lap facts: 3.337 km, 19 turns, 78 laps.

The Circuit de Monaco is a street circuit, laid out on the streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine around the harbour. The first race there was held on 14 April 1929, the Grand Prix has been part of the world championship since 1950, and Ayrton Senna won it six times.

The poster draws the track as a cream line with a dark shadow on a bold red background. The corners that made its name are labelled: Sainte-Dévote, Casino, Tunnel, Piscine and Rascasse, with a small chequered flag on the start line. MONACO runs across the top in huge letters; at the bottom sit the lap facts: 3.337 km, 19 turns, 78 laps, first race 14.04.1929.

The track shape comes from OpenStreetMap data, and the credit "Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors" is printed on the poster.

A red that wakes up a wall

This straight red holds its own on a white or grey wall, above a desk, a sofa or a sim racing rig. If you collect circuits, Monza, Spa and Suzuka come in the same series, each in its own colour.
