About this poster

The Monza track in cream edged with red on Italian racing green, from the Variante del Rettifilo to the Curva Alboreto, with its facts: 5.793 km, 11 turns, 53 laps.

The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza opened on 3 September 1922. It is known as the "Temple of Speed" and hosts the Italian Grand Prix. Its last big corner, once the Parabolica, is now called the Curva Alboreto.

On the poster, the cream track with a thin red edge stands out against deep Italian green. You can follow the lap corner by corner: Variante del Rettifilo, Curva Grande, Variante della Roggia, Lesmo 1 and 2, Variante Ascari, then Curva Alboreto, with the chequered flag on the start line. MONZA fills the top in huge letters; at the bottom: 5.793 km, 11 turns, 53 laps and the opening date, 03.09.1922.

The track shape comes from OpenStreetMap data, and the credit "Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors" is printed on the poster.

Green, cream and red

The three colours nod to Italy without overdoing it. The dark green sits well with wood, off-white or a light grey wall: in a living room, a home office or above a sim racing rig. Monaco, Spa and Suzuka complete the series, each in its own colour.
