Suzuka International Racing Course opened in September 1962 in Mie, Japan, and hosts the Japanese Grand Prix. Its layout stands apart: a figure-of-eight designed by John Hugenholtz, where the long back straight crosses over the front section on an overpass.
On the poster the track is black with a red shadow on a cream background, turned a quarter turn to fill the height. The key sections are named: S Curves, Degner, Hairpin, Spoon, 130R and Chicane, with the chequered flag on the start line. SUZUKA runs across the top in big black letters; at the bottom: 5.807 km, 18 turns, 53 laps, opened 09.1962.
The track shape comes from OpenStreetMap data, and the credit "Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors" is printed on the poster.
The light background makes it the softest poster of the series: it suits a bright bedroom, a living room in natural tones or a light wood desk. Hang it with Monaco, Monza and Spa to bring all four circuits together.
