About this poster

A big red 匠 ("takumi", master craftsman) and the GT-R Nismo's nose: every GT-R engine was hand-built by just nine craftsmen.

Over the R35 GT-R's 18-year run, from 2007 to 2025, every VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 was built by hand in a dust-proof room at the Yokohama plant by just nine "Takumi" craftsmen. The name of the craftsman who built it was badged on every engine.

This poster is for them. A huge red 匠, "takumi", master craftsman, on black. On the right, a big 9 and the story in three lines. At the bottom, the GT-R Nismo's carbon bonnet and gold-calipered wheel coming out of the dark.

Godzilla

The GT-R kept its ancestors' nickname, Godzilla, given by Australia's Wheels magazine to the R32 GT-R in 1989. The last R35 left the Tochigi plant on 26 August 2025.

A dark, powerful poster for JDM fans. More on the JDM & Drift page.
