About this poster
A sticker-album page: Messi kissing the World Cup as a gold-rimmed sticker stuck slightly crooked, on sky-blue and white stripes under the title CAMPEÓN DEL MUNDO.
In Argentina, football album stickers are called figuritas. Every kid swaps them in the playground. This poster recreates a page from one of those albums, with a single sticker: the one everybody wanted.
The photo is from the 2022 World Cup final: Messi kisses the trophy, and you can still read that match's print on his shirt, France, 18 December 2022, Lusail Stadium. It's mounted as a sticker with a gold rim, the Argentine flag, a navy name band reading MESSI and a gold "10" badge. The sticker sits slightly crooked over its dashed slot, as if a kid stuck it in a hurry.
The album page
The background takes the wide sky-blue and white stripes of the shirt, under the title CAMPEÓN DEL MUNDO. At the bottom, the final in one line: Argentina 3–3 France, 4–2 on penalties, then three gold stars for Argentina's three World Cups, 1978, 1986 and 2022.
It's a poster for collectors and for anyone who watched that final live, at home in a teenager's room or a living room. The rest of the series is on the Messi page, including Al cielo and the G.O.A.T. pop art grid, with more legends in the Football world.
Printed in Tunisia, paid on delivery.
