About this poster
Young Messi sitting alone on a ball in the middle of an empty pitch, as a darkroom film print with its black negative border, under the title La Pulga in large serif letters.
Before the trophies and the packed stadiums, there's this picture: a very young Messi in a training bib, sitting on a ball in the middle of an empty pitch. Elbows on his knees, he's looking somewhere else. No crowd, no noise. This is La Pulga, "the flea", the nickname he has carried since childhood in Rosario.
The poster is designed like a darkroom print. The photo is enlarged like a 35 mm negative, with the rough black border a filed-out negative carrier leaves and small film-edge markings in the margin. The fine grain, the green of the grass and the purple of the bib give it the feel of an old family photo. Below, the title La Pulga in large serif letters and one line: "Antes del ruido", before the noise.
A quiet poster
It's the gentlest poster in the series: little text, a lot of green, one man alone. It works in a living room or a grown-up bedroom, with light wood or a beige wall, and on a wall of framed photos.
For something brighter there's Al cielo in sky blue or the black and white collage. Every poster is on the Messi page, with more legends in the Football world.
