About this poster
Khazri and Ben Romdhane celebrate the goal in a red and black dot screen under a giant TUNISIE; below, a red 1-0, KHAZRI 58′, the date and the Al Rayyan stadium.
On 30 November 2022, on the third matchday of World Cup Group D, Tunisia played France at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan. On the other side were the reigning world champions, winners in 2018. In the 58th minute, captain Wahbi Khazri scored the only goal of the game: Tunisia 1, France 0.
The poster picks up the moment right after the goal. Khazri, number 10 with the armband, and Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, number 15, come together in the middle of the pitch to celebrate. The photo is treated like a risograph print: two inks, red and black, in a coarse dot screen on a cream background. Above it, TUNISIE in huge black letters. Below, a red 1-0 on the left; on the right, FRANCE, KHAZRI and 58′. A last line gives the date and stadium, then the French sentence “Les Aigles de Carthage battent la France, championne du monde en titre” (the Eagles of Carthage beat France, the reigning world champions), with تونس in red in the corner.
