About this poster

Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield on stage in London on 22 October 2017, in red and black halftone like a screen print, with the Metallica logo and that night's full setlist.

On 22 October 2017 Metallica played The O2 Arena in London, the first of two nights there on the WorldWired Tour. This poster is about that night.

At the top, a real photo from the show: Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield side by side, guitars forward, in front of the crowd. It is turned into two halftone inks, red and black, overprinted like a screen print and fading into the cream background towards the bottom. Then the Metallica logo in black, “LONDON” in big red letters, “The O2 Arena, 22 October 2017”, and the full setlist of the night: 15 songs from “Hardwired” to “Master of Puppets”, then the encore of “Damage, Inc.”, “Nothing Else Matters” and “Enter Sandman”.

In the spirit of tour posters

Metallica's own gig posters, printed in red, white and black, are chased by collectors. This one keeps that three-colour look. It suits a bedroom, a rehearsal room or a hallway, and makes a fine keepsake for anyone who loves live music. 4K-printed on a PVC board about 1 cm thick, it hangs without a frame.
