Espérance's Curva Sud in a cloud of flares at the Radès stadium on 11 March 2017, above a giant yellow TARAJI and the name الترجي الرياضي التونسي in white.
Espérance Sportive de Tunis was founded on 15 January 1919. People call it simply Taraji, and its Arabic name is written الترجي الرياضي التونسي.
The photo was taken on 11 March 2017 at the Stade Olympique de Radès, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League first round against Horoya AC. That night, Espérance won 3–1, with two goals from Sassi (20′ and 54′) and one from Ben Youssef (75′). In the picture, the scoreboard reads 2–1 at 19:53, and the Curva Sud has lit its flares: a pink and red cloud covers the stand.
At the top of the poster, “Espérance Sportive de Tunis · Curva Sud” on the left and “Depuis 1919” (since 1919) on the right. At the bottom, on black, TARAJI in huge yellow letters outlined in red, the Arabic name in white, then the match, the date and the stadium.
The photo takes up almost the full height: the poster stands out on a white wall as well as a dark one, in a bedroom, a living room or a café. If you were at Radès that night, you will know the stand. The PVC board, about 1 cm thick and 4K-printed, hangs without a frame. The stadium is now called Stade Hammadi Agrebi.
