About Legendary Players

Posters of legendary players: shirts, iconic numbers and golden balls.

Every generation has its sacred shirt number. Pelé's and Maradona's 10, Cruyff's 14, Ronaldo's 7. A football legends poster is a page of history on your wall, the one your dad used to tell and that you now pass on.

Pelé and his three World Cups with Brazil. Maradona and that Mexican summer of 1986. Zidane's two headers in the 1998 World Cup final. Then Messi and Cristiano, a rivalry that lasted more than fifteen years. And closer to home, Tarak Dhiab, still the only Tunisian named African Footballer of the Year, in 1977, and Hammadi Agrebi, whose name the Radès stadium now carries.

How legends look in print

Legends posters often lean vintage: slightly faded colours, heavy cotton shirts, buttoned collars, retro type. They bring back old football magazines and the sticker albums we all used to swap.

The other route is minimal. A shirt from behind, a number, and memory does the rest. Picture the playmaker's back in red, white and gold, nothing more. At the other end of the scale, Ronaldo & Messi side by side goes for bold, faceted pop art.

Building a wall of legends

The strongest move is a row of three or four prints above a sofa or bed, each one a different era. Keep the gaps even and the palette consistent, warm tones or dark backgrounds, so the wall reads as one story.

A few combinations:

  • an old-school legend, a modern great and a Tunisian hero;
  • three number 10s from three countries;
  • a classic legend next to a Messi print to link past and present.

In a café, a living room or a bedroom in Tunisia, a legends wall always gets people talking. That's already a win.
