Ultras & Stadiums

Before kick-off there's a moment when the whole end holds its breath. Then the banner unrolls, the flares go up and the stadium turns into a living painting. An ultras poster is that shiver, frozen on your wall.

In Tunisia we know that fervour well: songs that last the whole match, tifos prepared for weeks, stands that change colour in seconds. Those images belong to popular culture as much as to football, and they look just as powerful on a bedroom wall as they do on a stadium screen.

What makes a great terrace image

It's all about light. Red or green smoke filtering the floodlights, silhouettes with arms raised against the glare, flags rolling like waves. Everything rests on contrast: a dark background, saturated colour, the grain of the smoke.

Picture a stand bathed in green and white smoke, for those who sing for 90 minutes without sitting down, or red and yellow flares rising above the terraces, the electricity of a big night. Leave out the crest, and everyone can read their own colours into the image.

Bringing the atmosphere home

These prints love dark walls and low lighting. An LED strip behind a gaming desk or a warm lamp in the corner, and the smoke almost seems to drift.

A few ideas:
