About Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin posters: the burning airship of the debut album, the hermit of Led Zeppelin IV and the four mystic symbols. Seventies rock in sepia tones.

A burning airship, four mysterious symbols, children climbing over rocks under an orange sky. Led Zeppelin's images feel like myths, which is exactly what you want from a Led Zeppelin poster: a bit of history and a lot of legend.

Formed in London in 1968, the band brought together Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham, and in a few short years wrote much of the vocabulary of hard rock.

An airship, some runes and a stairway

The debut album (1969) used Sam Shere's photograph of the 1937 Hindenburg disaster, redrawn in ink by designer George Hardie. In black and white the scene is stunning: a giant of the sky going up in flames. That's the airship in our tagline.

The fourth album, released in 1971, has no title at all. Jimmy Page put four hand-drawn symbols on it instead, one per member. People call it Led Zeppelin IV, Four Symbols or "Zoso", and it's home to Stairway to Heaven.

Houses of the Holy (1973) was the band's first sleeve by Hipgnosis, the studio behind Pink Floyd's covers. Inspired by Arthur C. Clarke's novel Childhood's End, it was shot on the basalt columns of the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland in November 1972.

Seventies rock at home

Zeppelin's sepia and ochre tones love wood, leather and rugs: ideal for a warm living room or a bedroom in earthy colours. The four symbols, more graphic, sit nicely in a clean arrangement over a desk.

For a full wall, mix in the covers of Pink Floyd, their visual cousins, and our vinyl prints for a record-shop feel.

Each poster is printed in Tunisia and paid for on delivery across the country. And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
