About Friends
Friends posters: the dotted logo, the green Central Perk sign, the orange couch, Monica's purple door and the six friends at the fountain. The sitcom everyone still rewatches.
An orange sofa, oversized mugs, six friends putting the world to rights in a Manhattan coffee house. Thirty years on, people still know the lines by heart and put an episode on just for the company. A Friends TV show poster carries that comfort, a series that works like a warm blanket.
Ten seasons and a few cult objects
Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, Friends ran on NBC from 22 September 1994 to 6 May 2004: ten seasons, 236 episodes. Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross became family for millions of viewers.
The show has its sacred objects, recognisable at a glance. The orange couch at Central Perk, where everything happens. The purple door of Monica's apartment, with that yellow frame around the peephole: it started out as a mirror, broke by accident, and the crew kept the frame. And of course the theme, The Rembrandts' I'll Be There for You, with its four claps.
A warm palette
The Friends world is made of warm, gentle colours: burnt orange, purple, mustard yellow, wood and brick. Nothing aggressive, everything welcoming. A print in that spirit, the purple door, the sofa or the coffee mugs, slips easily into any living space.
Where to hang it
In a living room above the sofa, the Central Perk echo always raises a smile. A Friends poster also suits a kitchen, a coffee corner or a bedroom shared by flatmates. For an actual café, it's almost a given.
To round out the nineties mood, pair it with other memories of the decade such as Michael Jackson or tapes and mixtapes.
Each poster is printed in Tunisia, delivered to all 24 governorates and paid for at the door. It'll be there for you.
