Fresh batteries, blow the cartridge, go.

Nintendo posters: the grey Game Boy and its green screen, Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time and Pokémon Red and Blue. Japanese type and pixels from the cartridge generation.
Fresh batteries, the click of the power switch, the logo sliding down a greenish screen. For a whole generation, gaming started in the palm of a hand on a little grey brick. A Game Boy poster brings that exact moment back to your wall.
Nintendo reached living rooms with the Famicom, launched in Japan in 1983 and reborn as the NES in North America in 1985. The Super Famicom followed in 1990. In between, on 21 April 1989, Japan got the Game Boy: a small grey handheld with a monochrome screen, often sold with Tetris. It was a phenomenon.
The nineties added the legends: Pokémon Red and Green in Japan in 1996, the Game Boy Color in 1998. And everywhere on Earth the same ritual when a cartridge wouldn't load: blow into it, hard, and hope.
The style reads instantly. The pale green of the Game Boy screen and its handful of shades, the grey shell, the purplish-red A and B buttons. Chunky pixels, every character built from a few squares. Bold primaries on the NES and Super Nintendo side: red, blue, yellow.
That pixel language is made for posters. It reads from across the room, it's playful, and it speaks to nostalgic players and new ones alike.
Above a desk with a monitor and controller, a Game Boy-green print adds a retro note without clashing with a modern setup. In a kid's or teenager's room, the primary colours bring instant cheer.
For a full gamer's wall, mix Nintendo with the PlayStation 1 and Sega & Sonic: the console wars, finally at peace on one wall.
