Cloud rap from Kabbaria, headphones on.

KTYB posters: beret, round shades and red smoke from the worlds of Noise Cancelling and 15. Tunisian cloud rap in lilac, black and acid yellow.
Some rappers are made for car stereos with the windows down. Others are made for 2 a.m., alone, headphones on. KTYB belongs firmly to the second group. Born in 1992 in Kabbaria, on the edge of Tunis, he has worked under the KTYB name since 2017, drifting into cloud rap: hazy, weightless verses that float over the beat rather than hit it. A KTYB poster brings that late-night calm into the room.
Cloud rap is as visual as it is audible. Think midnight blues sliding into violet, blurred halos of light as if seen through a fogged-up window, street lamps stretched into streaks by speed. Lettering stays thin and understated, with plenty of breathing room. Nothing shouts here; it's night music, and the print keeps the volume low.
Even the title of his 2022 album, Noise Cancelling, sums up the mood: shut out the world and stay in your own bubble. On a wall, that idea becomes a quiet patch in the middle of a busy student bedroom.
The upright format sits naturally above a desk or behind a gaming setup, wherever your late nights happen. Add a strip of blue or purple LED light behind the monitor and the colours take on a cinematic depth, like a still from a music video.
For a fuller wall, mix in other voices from Tunisian rap: the raw energy of A.L.A, or the legacy of Balti, the man who opened the door for everyone else. Side by side, they tell the story of a whole scene, from its pioneers to its newest textures. The rest of the family lives in our Arab pop and rap collection.
Printed in Tunisia, paid for when it reaches your door. Pick the wall, then turn the sound up. Or cancel it entirely.
