About Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) posters: Tanjiro, Zenitsu and the demon slayers, blades of fire and thunder against the night. For a bedroom or a setup that stands out.

A green and black chequered haori, a wooden box strapped to a back, a sword stroke that leaves water or fire in its wake. A Demon Slayer poster is recognisable in a heartbeat. Koyoharu Gotouge's Kimetsu no Yaiba ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 2016 to 2020, and studio ufotable's anime turned its fights into some of the most striking images in modern animation.

The look of Demon Slayer wall art

It starts with patterns. Tanjiro's chequerboard, Nezuko's pink kimono with its hemp-leaf motif and her bamboo muzzle, Zenitsu's yellow triangles, Inosuke's boar mask: every character wears a fabric you can read from across the room, even as a silhouette.

Then come the breathing styles. Water techniques curl like the waves of an old Japanese woodblock print. The Hinokami Kagura fire dance bursts orange against a night sky. Zenitsu's thunder slices the frame in a single yellow streak. Throw in the purple wisteria that keeps demons at bay and you get a palette that swings between gentle and brutal.

That tension is exactly what works on a wall: dark backgrounds, one vivid colour, a lot of movement.

Building a Kimetsu no Yaiba corner

Pick two characters who answer each other. The Tanjiro Hinokami Kagura poster, all burning orange, pairs naturally with Zenitsu's Thunder Breathing, cooler and more electric. Hung side by side above a desk or gaming setup, they read like a frozen frame from a fight.

The vertical format suits a standing swordsman, blade drawn. In a bright, whitewashed room, the kind you find all over Tunisia, keep the surrounding wall plain so the flames have space. In a darker one, a warm lamp angled at the prints brings the oranges to life.

Drawn to Japanese aesthetics beyond anime? Extend the wall with woodblock-style waves and cherry blossoms; they share the same visual language as the water breathing.

Breathe, draw, and let the wall tell the fight.
